Motivation Monday

I am sick and am feeling decidedly UNmotivated this Monday - however on a positive note I have been told by the Physio this morning that I don't have SIJ Dysfunction and that it is more likely to be a combination of muscle tightness throughout the joint. Remedy - only flat walking for the next two weeks and LOTS of stretching of the hip flexors. then reassess.

My motivation this week has come a lot from the new Gabriella Cilmi Song (click on the link to hear it if you haven't already!)- On a Mission. Just the chorus line -
"I am a woman on a mission nothing can stop me I'm stronger than ever I'm gonna see this through"
is such an important mindset to visualise.

Once again - I would also love love love to hear about what other people are doing to help them stay motivated - whether that is some inspiring words or some great pictures.

The general gist is that you leave your name and link below and then post about your motivation on your own blog - with a link back to this post - that way there is a central place for motivation - Motivation Central.

Looking forward to seeing what is motivating people this week!

Task(s) at Hand

I realised during the week that whe I am at work I keep myself on task by writing the things I have to complete each day in list form in my diary, not long after I realised that - a little lightbulb wento off in my head - well why don't I just employ the same method at home?  well Duh!

You may notice that there is no Training of any description listed in that list.

For the past few months I have had chronic pain in my Rt Hip and for a while I just thought it was associated with muscle tightness. However I discovered that stretching actually aggrevated it severly - as does any type of training involving my legs - but specifically the type of training that I most enjoy - walking and running and strength work.

I think I have SacroIlliac Joint Dysfunction as a result of my pregnancy and subsequently from the Labour process. I am off to the Physio on Monday to begin to get it sorted out - but until then I am trying my hardest not to aggrevate it too much.  It is not acticity inhibiting at all - but any activity that I do do makes it very painful after the fact.

lets hope they don't ban me entirely from training!
