Back to the Weekend

It's the weekend again and the hardest part of my week is over for 4 days. I don't hate work, but it is such a blur for 3 days and I get so tired by Friday - especially when it is a week like this one gone with about half of the staff away on Sick leave and me doing bits and pieces of three different jobs.

Unless I get up at 5 am, there is not chance of exercise on these days - and given that I need to be on top of my game and able to focus - getting up to exercise at 5 am is not really an option at the moment. I will try walking in the mornings again once I get past the first trimester and am starting to feel more energetic.

It is a public holiday here in Canberra on Monday so I am hoping to get to the gym twice over the next two days for some alone exercise time, then on Tuesday I have to take Harris to the Creche at the gym for his settling in time to see if I can get him to like going there again.

I am going through that period of pregnancy where I just feel a little fat and don't really look pregnant at all - although depending on what I wear sometimes it is quite obvious that I am pregnant and not fat.

I must have had a Very flat stomach before because people I barely know through the breastfeeding association have asked me if I am pregnant - as well as guy at work! It is pretty common knowledge amongst my friends and colleagues now though.

I am feeling super great that I still fit into my normal clothes at 11- 12 weeks - I was well and truly past it by this stage last time!! I think the button on the jeans will have to pop in the next week or so though!

Must go - am having lunch with friends today!

  1. Congrats again on your pregnancy! I really didn't like that stage of pregnancy where you dont look pregnant yet, but you just feel 'fat'... good to hear that you are feeling so well though!
